Weekend Roundup - Broadband and Mobile India
A short week mainly because of Diwali and Eid extended holidays. Well, this Diwali we did see Nokia Corporation achieving a new global sales record
for selling the highest number of phones on any given day - pre-Diwali
. Nokia has also said that it will launch some of the
Nokia N Series mobiles pre-loaded with movies
. Guess news doesn't stop flowing for Nokia N Series; While American giants still think Music Player is the killer product,
Indians have been embracing the N Series and Sony Ericsson 800 series phones
.
With YouTube buy out by Google, the social networking space is getting hotter throughout and India is no exception.
Yaari.com another clone of Facebook
wants to compete with Orkut and the founders have their base in Stanford too. On the startup front we see that,
VCs are also likely to chase social networking startups in India
.
Have a Great Weekend!
