 The state of Goa well known to the rest of the world for its beautiful beaches is all set to be wired with broadband. The state Government has signed a Rs 150 crores ($33 Million) deal with United Telecom Ltd for the broadband roll out, which should be completed by the end of 2007.
Guess what ? Tourism is no more the Numero Uno industry for employment opportunities in Goa, it's all IT. They are also planning to price it cheaper than average electricity bill at mere Rs252/Month ($5).
