Just a while ago, CricInfo announced on its website that it is being acquired by Disney's ESPN, the world leader in sports news and coverage. ESPN has decided to retain the CricInfo brand as of now.
Rusell Wolff, MD, ESPN International said,
Cricinfo is a tremendous property with a great fan base and it will be a strong addition to ESPN.
CricInfo was started in 1993 and was the first portal launched for the most popular game in the second most populous country - India. You will see lot of Mergers and Acquistions in the Indian Internet space over the next few quarters. Who's Next ? Any Guess ? |
