| Bharti Airtel's Website Down with Internal Server Error |

 India's largest Mobile Service Provider as well as the largest private Internet Service provider is unable to get the facts right about hosting its website [Airtel.in]. We have noticed errors in the past and today, when the President of the company is announcing its results and addressing a Conference Call, the site is down. Check out the screen-shot below.
 In 2006, the Developers of the site had exposed source code of several sections to casual web surfers. What about folks who want to pay their Airtel bills online ? I just don't see the login interface anywhere.
Update on 25th @ 1:30 AM: The site is up and running but one can only see the Q1FY09 results. Information about Mobile and Telecom services from the site are missing. We had thought Bharti Airtel was one of the best companies, guess we are a little wrong about it :-) |

Indian mobile carriers and banks, when it comes to webiste they think of it as a cost center and don't want to invest in it. This is the direct result of their inherent frugal nature. You wanna call them shameless ! Be my guest. They need to learn somethin gfrom the online travel/ticketing sites.
