Samsung Galaxy S2 vs HTC Sensation

Samsung Galaxy S II has come as big challenge for HTC Sensation. We compare both the Phones from an Engineer’s perspective. Both are 3G phones supporting HSPDA network and are built on Android 2.3.

Galaxy S II was able to score better than HTC Sensation on its processor performance while at the same time beat Sensation at battery life, which in our view, was driven by Samsung’s AMOLED panel, which gives Samsung substantial competitive advantage. Tariffs Set to Rise + Retailer Commission Falls

In a meeting with major Telecom companies and Retailers, managements’ intention was clear – raise tariffs in the sector, which hinted at abating competition. The changes are centred on special tariff vouchers, which are promotional in nature and not regulated. In addition, dealer commissions have come down across operators over the last few weeks – this would not affect RPMs but have a direct impact on margins.
