Aha the long wait ends here...

VSNL, after all testing has finally rolled out Wimax broadband for Bangaloreans
They have launched it with 140 towers covering entire Bangalore

Tata indicom broadband had frequent problems because of last mile overhead connectivity. Wimax wireless connectivity should resolve this.

also its launched with a fantaboulous offer, check it out

I should have their connection in a few days if the promise is kept. I am praying hard they'll live up to their name and my broadband vows will go away. 6 months ago I got the Reliance WiMax and they were horrible. Their customer support was horrible and the connection was not very stable. Add to that no online payment option which contradicts the concept of providing internet service :-) While I am pretty Positive TATA will be much better, I'll wait till I experience.....

I just got my wimax connection. Waiting to check out the performance once i get back home. Hoping that it wouldn't be all that bad, considering that tata indicom broadband hasn't always provided good service to its DSL subscribers.

i have been using the tata communications wi max internet connection since last 6 months...i am always having problems with their nework connectivity. every day there is a limited connectivity error atleast 10 times....when i complain to the customer care...the reason they give is "network is bieng upgraded"....i have lost so much work while this thing happens.....and once i even had login error for incorrect passsword/username even though i checked it a dozen times...there was this error...which i had to get rectified after i called the customer care.....and the customer care number is a land line one and not toll free......so...every time i call them...i had to spend about Rs.30...who will refund this amount...?...add to this....the advance billing for the next month for a post paid connection....!!!....they want to collect money even before they have provided the service and the customer has used it...!!!!....and when ever something goes wrong.....the only reason the customer service executive gives is "computer glitch","company policy"...and you wont believe this.....!!!!!...one customer service executive was even rude with me.....and said that that was my problem and not theirs...!!!!!......i dont know which company employs people like that...i even dont know why i am being charged for the next month in advance for a post paid connection.....this is the worst internet connection...and the service is even worse than that...go for it only if you have to go through all the trouble i have gone through...........!!!!!!!!!!
