Their have been rumors in Mumbai that Reliance Broadband will roll out 1MPBs broadband line. Some added to this rumorby saying Reliance group company BSES has fibre all around Mumbai and the speed is likely to be 4 MPBs. Gone crazy ? It is possible only with high bit rate VDSL or FIOS which will likely be a dream with Reliance BroadNet. My sources in Reliance tell me they are planning to roll a wi-max based broadband.

Wi-Max technology will complement with CDMA-2000 for mobile data users(Visual Radio, eBay Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo IM, e-mails,Bollywood songs, voip etc) as well as serve broadband for homes. Until then suffer with your poor Reliance Data Card with a mere 33KBPs internet speed or switch to BSNL DataOne or Airtel Broadband.
