Uninor has indicated that they will be focusing on their key 9 circles and would look to scale back operations in the remaining 4 circles where they are currently operational. The 9 circles include Gujarat, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Andhra, Kolkata, WB, Bihar, UP(E) and UP(W).

The 4 circles where they will be looking to scale back operations are Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Orissa. The 4 circles account for approximately 14% of their India revenues and 14% of subscriber base.

Uninor saw a significant slowdown in growth rates this quarter, with revenues growing just 5% QoQ. Further, they have not done any capex in Q2.
