    SmartPhone Global MaketShare - Samsung Biggest Gainer / Nokia the Loser

    As worlds best innovator Apple Inc set the fire of SmartPhone craze with the launch of iPhone, Asian Telecom Companies were quick enough to spot the opportunity and offer similar SmartPhones at extremely competitive pricing.

    Samsung is the new Global Leader of SmartPhones based on shipments data in the last 4 quarters [latest is June-2012 Quarter]. Analyzing the data for Top 10, smartPhone manufacturers - Samsung, Apple, Nokia, HTC, Research-In-Motion, ZTE, LG-Electronics, Huawei, Sony and Motorola.

    Samsung now controls a whopping 29.70% of the market followed by iPhones at 18.80. The Biggest Losers of Market are Nokia down 8.4% in the last 12 months followed by RIM Blackberry down 5.8%.
