    Semi-conductors Powering TD LTE SmartPhones

There is significant improvement in the TD-LTE ecosystem on the handset IC side. Nearly all IC vendors including Qualcomm actively support this technology. One major reason is the large (around 75%) similarity between TDD and FDD baseband chips. This helps traditional cellular baseband chipset vendors like Qualcomm, ST Ericsson and Renesas to develop TD-LTE and LTE-FDD on the same chipset platform.

China has mandated all LTE Gears to be backward compatibility with TD-SCDMA. [More on the China Problem Later]

Qualcomm announced the expansion of its Snapdragon S4 class of processors and the enhancements in the S1 chipsets for low-cost smartphones. Qualcomm is shipping 28nm application processors about two quarters ahead of the competition. The company announced six new S4 chipsets (MSM8660A, MSM8260A, MSM8630, MSM8230, MSM8627, and MSM8227) and two new standalone APs (APQ8060A and APQ8030). The S4 class multi-mode chipsets will support cellular standards that include EV-DO, HSPA+, TDSCDMA, LTE FDD/TDD and WiFi connectivity.

Despite Qualcomm's improvements in the performance at the low-end S1 chipsets (M7225A, MSM7625A, MSM7227A and MSM7627A), I expect MediaTek to be ahead in performance with the recently launched dual-core, 1GHz MT6575 chipset.

    Semi-conductors Powering TD LTE SmartPhones

According to industrial sources, Chinese companies such as Huawei and ZTE are hiring thousands of excellent semiconductor designers. Huawei unveiled a smartphone whose quad core application processor was featured at the MWC 2012. Surprisingly, Huawei did not use Nvidia and Qualcomm products. its look awesome and eye-catching. I frequented many locations in Indian like Goa, Jaipur etc. and always keep in mind that visits which i frequented and images are reminiscences of it in my record and center reaching images is always with me. that, s is Semi-conductors Powering....
