Hyderabad Circle has been allocated 3 Operators for providing 3G / WCDMA Wireless Services. When compared to Singapore, which has population density of 8250 closer to that of Hyderabad 9100, the site density requirements in Hyd appears to be lower.

In Singapore the usage is at 3GB/month and for every additional GB per user / month, a 3G operator with 30 MHz of spectrum would have to add around 120 sites to the base coverage requirement of 400 sites to cover the urban area of Singapore.

It is important to note however that Singapore has 30MHz of spectrum and India has 15Mhz which broadly implies that Hyderabad could need 2x the number of base stations to cover the city, as Singapore needs to cover the country, given 2x the spectrum in Singapore.
