i am very very confused readin all these comments, currently m using mtnl unlimited 256kbps@599/- per mth.
i want to cut down my monthly expenses to the maximum possible extent. i am fine wid d speed of mtnl.
hward abt hathway and nivyah,but m nt sure abt der speed commitment. i need some help.pls

hathway speeds suck big time .. nd wid the frequent crashes … im not sure im even gettin any value for money !!!

I have been using MTNL broadband connection(landline) since 2006 in office as well as resid.I dont know about others but personally,I am extremely satisfied with their net speed.There are breakdown issues at times but that is resolved after telephonic complaint.Possibly because I never subscribed for unlimited usage plan.Its just an eyewash. I limit myself to about 5 GB download p.m.and its more than sufficient. At Rs 750 p.m(+ser.tax),with v.fast speed of 1-1.5 mb,you get more than what is asked for.My advice – Come out of unlimited plans and you will feel the difference.(30.01.2010, 11.00 pm). i m mumbai, looking for prepaid broadband (wired/wireless any) for rs. 300/- p.m. or even less (or pay as u use plan) as my usage is limited. can u suggest me which is suitable service provider?

I am using reliance netconnect CDMA1x service. The service was relatively good wen i was using it in other parts of Maharastra, but it is very poor in Mumbai. i am looking for an prepaid broadband service here in Mumbai.

mtnl services is good initially but after 10 days they also show they belong to govt. so what u get at the time of conection is not true, personnel will come for bribe for speed increase, so be ready for it or go on with what u r getting,cos i have tried 4 providers but none is good, at last mtnl is ok i think.

Tikona is the worst internet provider.
Request never opt for tikona service.
Worst customer server.
Net Plan of 2 GB does not have speed more 100 kb.
Complaints fall on deaf dears.

My connection was installed on 20.4.2010 even. Great thing : From next day 21.4.2010, my connection is not working or very slow speed. Complaint has been raised but nothing happened. They say that the technical will visit within 24 hrs. Till 26.4.2010 night, neither the service started nor a techical visited.

Tikona service is the worst.
Tikona is just cheating the customers.

All dis points what amit has mentioned is very true d same things did happen with me i m really fedup with dis never go for Tikona soon i will be changing 2 some other service provider.ne 1 who can help me contact me on anupjacob.aj@gmail.com

i am from mumbai i wanted to know which internet connection should i take, a bit confused wanted to know if there is any one who is using hathway. performance of it. wanted to know about the New Freeway Flexi plan 256 Kbps 2000 rs Unlimited valid for 3 mths. plz mail me the reviews if any one knows.

Dont go with Hathway, they are not commited. If you got stuck in situation like poor browsing speed or connectivity problem they even will not pick your calls to answer you,they have some strategy like they set your number “kir-kir client (and your name)” so the person who may handle your call will not pick up your call….. with my experience what I had with Hathway

So Please dont go with Hathway

I am using MTNL from 2006. It is the best service at low price. Even when there are international cable problem MTNL worked fine. Got IPTV about year back still net speed is fantastic.

the new plans in all service providers has got me to change my current service
Well with my experience with TATA Indicom was good but they introduce new plans but not for old connection so i say dont go for TATA go for reliance or MNTL they r the best service providers in mumbai new plans in
Reliance 300 kbps speed @ Rs 450+ service tax
MTNL 320 kbps speed @ Rs 395+ service tax
