MTNL Launches Fiber Optic FTTH Broadband in Delhi

By Webmaster - Last updated: Wednesday, November 9, 2011 - 3 Comments

State Owned MTNL has launched high-speed 10 Mbps FTTH – Fiber To The Home Broadband Internet Services in Delhi. FTTH is providedo n a separate Optical Fiber Network and not on the Copper Wired infrastructure that MTNL has in place.

MTNL FTTH broadband Plans – The Biggest Disadvantage of these plans is they come with Fair Usage Policy.

Their is a registration and installation charges of Rs 500 but is waived until DEc-6th. Do let us know about your experience [ FTTH  Speedtest, Installation etc] if you have opted for the same.

I have tried both airtel and MTNL 3 G plans.

I have speed troubles with both. In MTNL postpaid i had to shell 1200 rs for 1 GB data but speed was good.

In AIRTEL prepaid 3 G 750 Rs i get data of 4 GB but connectivity and network was broken in between. I was unable to use 4 GB data and wasted my money

I will advice for Airtel 98 Rs. plan. All companies will have a fair use policy. When your speed is reduced try another SIM.

Today MTNL added one more plan to the existing by offering 10 Mbps Broadband Plan over its Fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) triple play Network at Rs 1990 per month with fair usage policy of 80 GB / Month. after exhausting 80 GB the speed will reduce to 1 Mbps.
