Top 5 ISPs in India

Tata’s owned VSNL is out of the Top 5 ISPs in India. According to TRAI figures available as on Dec-31st 2006 the top 5 ISPs [ Broadband and Dial-up] market share is as follows,
- BSNL 44.4% market share
- MTNL 19.3% market share
- Sify 9.3%
- Airtel 6.9%
- Reliance 6.2%
go Broadband writes that the total internet subscribers in India was at 8.5 Million of which 2.05 Million are Broadband [> 256 Kbps] subscribers. This doesn’t take into account Corporate Subscribers. Kindly note that Internet User base in India is much more than Subscribers.
