Nokia to Ship 20 Millionth handset manufactured in India

Nokia India unit located at Nokia Telecom Park near Sriperumbudur, Chennai will ship 20 Millionth handset manufactured at this location.
Jukka Lehtela, Director-India Operations, said,
“It has been an exciting eleven months with many challenges and successes. When we started production, our target was to meet domestic requirements. However, today we are already exporting to South East Asian countries. On every metric, we have seen tremendous growth“.
PM Manmohan Singh visited the facility in Chennai today.
